At Prospect Hospice we provide vital end of life care to patients living with a life limiting illness and we support their families and loved ones through their difficult journeys. The care we provide makes an immeasurable difference and it s all completely free of charge. But, as a local charity, we need to promote ourselves, communicate what we do and fundraise in order to bring in the money that pays for it. And that s where this role comes in. Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Initially this role will be office-based at the hospice in Wroughton while you learn the role with the flexibility to potentially work from home in a more hybrid way What is the role? Reporting to the communications and marketing manager, you will be responsible for delivering high quality content across a range of platforms and materials to engage our community and encourage their support. You will have experience of using a wide range of social media in the business environment, as well as drafting copy for a range of publications and marketing materials. As a proactive member of the communications team, you ll have a varied role working with income generating teams across the hospice, including our fundraisers and retail staff, to provide the required support to enable them to raise money for the hospice. You ll also build good relations with our clinical teams to spot stories our patients will be interested in, creating captivating content around them. You ll be a pivotal member of the hospice team, building relationships internally to find the interesting stories that highlight our work and the need for funding, and you ll embrace innovate ways to encourage our supporters to engage with and support the charity. You ll also build upon existing external relationships to build on the media coverage received by the hospice. About you: - Strong written and spoken English, with excellent communications skills and the ability to tailor content to a wide variety of audiences - Knowledge and experience of using social media in a business environment - Excellent project management and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail - Strong organisational and time management skills - Knowledge and experience of web content management systems The closing date for applications is 6th October 2022.
