Skilled careers are working with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of £210m and a strong presence across the commercial, fit out and data centre sector who are looking for an experienced electrical project manager to join their data centre division to work on an upcoming notable project in Didcot in Oxfordshire where they are acting as principal contractor. As electrical project manager you will join a talented team for pre-construction before going to site early next to deliver the notable £100m M&E package for the duration of the programme. You will report to the mechanically biased project director and take full control of a notable and specific complex electrical package from a technical and management perspective. Electrical Project Manager Duties Management of Site QA, specifically with regards to the Electrical package including setting up, management and closeout of file Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Project team, consulting Engineer and Client requirements. Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minute meeting with sub-contractor Knowledge of all electrical systems in commercial settings Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner Management of the snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable. Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally. Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings Electrical Project Manager Experience: Candidates must have 5 years experience working in a similar role Previous Commercial and Install experience Degree Qualified that is related to the Electrical Engineering field Sign off to pay a very good salary and the opportunity to join a leading contractor with an excellent reputation and a big focus on the northern home counties region for the coming years.
