Vision for Education are actively recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant in the Accrington area. About the role We are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to work at a local primary school in the Accrington area which has recently been awarded Good by Ofsted. The role is set to commence ASAP, with no set end date. The ideal candidate will have already worked as a teaching assistant, preferably with pupils of Key Stage 2 age (7 - 11 years old) and will have extensive knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum. Although an experienced teaching assistant is preferred the school is willing to accept an inexperienced teaching assistant looking to gain more experience of working in a classroom environment with children. The teaching assistant will be working within a Year 5 class of 28 pupils with all children working at different levels with a range of abilities. The successful candidate will be expected to work five days a week (Monday-Friday) during term-time only. The school offers a supportive and welcoming environment for new and existing staff, with excellent facilities to support its pupils best with their education. The school is easily accessible by car and has its own car park for use of staff. Driving is not essential for this role, as the school is easily accessible via a bus route if public transport is required.
