Our client is the leading provider of specialist homelessness accommodation services to the South East. They are currently recruiting for a Live-in Scheme Manager to join their hardworking and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable individuals, as well as substance misuses and/or mental health issues, ability to work independently using own initiative whilst remaining accountable to line management and communicating effectively as part of a team and understand the importance of supportive relationships and fulfilling lives. As a Live-in Scheme Manager, you will be dedicated and motivated to deliver outstanding client support, whilst managing the day-to-day tasks of running a 7-bedroom property. The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and experiences: Demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable individuals, as well as substance misuses and/or mental health issues Ability to work independently using own initiative whilst remaining accountable to line management and communicating effectively as part of a team An understanding of the important of supportive relationships and fulfilling lives, and especially sustainable work in developing resilience and preventing homelessness Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to establish good working relationships with service users, colleagues, other stakeholders externally and to work well independently and within a team Have a mature, thoughtful, and proactive approach to the implementation of equal opportunities and management of diversity Understand, and adherence to legislation, procedures, policies and good practice guidelines relevant to the role Your duties as a Live-in Scheme Manager will include: Maintaining a broad ongoing assessment of the clients to enable their safe and secure use of the scheme Liaising and sign posting to specialist colleagues in other agencies including Mental Health, Housing, Adult Social Care, and any other partners to ensure the smooth running of the project Enabling people to register with a GP and support people to access specialist health services such as dentist, stopping smoking support, sexual health services, weight management, diabetics clinics etc. Supporting people to engage or re-engage in appropriate and supportive relationships with friends and family Supporting people to engage with their local community to enhance self-esteem and establish positive supportive social networks such as local interest groups, community projects and local cages, community groups and churches Attending and participating in team meetings if required Providing cover on an occasional basis for absent colleagues at difference schemes in the area Operating agreed health and safety and security procedures Being responsible for security of premises Attending appropriate training courses and participating in skill sharing sessions is required Other duties include: Completing client sign in and sign out paperwork Daily cleaning including kitchen, bathrooms and communal areas Room turnarounds when clients leave and arrive House shopping, cleaning products etc. Monthly meter readings Gas, Electric and Water Report any repairs or maintenance using FixFlo Put weekly bins out for collection and bring in Weekly fire alarm tests Weekly room inspections Daily reports to local authority and head office Liaising with outside agencies and neighbours where appropriate Salary: £20,000 per annum Hours: Permanent, Full Time Location: Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex Start Date: ASAP Key Words: Live-in Scheme Manager, Scheme Support Worker, Building and Client Management, Full Time, Permanent, Bexhill on Sea, Hastings, St Leonards, East Sussex
