Manufacturing Technician Team Leader - Medical Devices- Swindon (40% SHIFT ALLOWANCE) Are you a Manufacturing Team Leader who has 17th Edition qualification with 5+ years of experience within the medical devices or T1 automotive supply chain? If your answer is yes, then read on! SRG are currently working with one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care. They are looking for a Manufacturing Technician Team Leader to fulfil a role within their company. Your key responsibilities will include: Responsible for the operational performance of the manufacturing team to achieve business objectives for volume, quality and waste levels. Achieving the production schedule but maintaining labour costs within budgeted levels. Responsible for ensuring that all associates within the area of responsibility receive appropriate training where necessary in order to maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Ensure all products are manufactured as specified within the Quality System, and to organise corrective action to maintain the product at the accepted quality levels. Fully support CI activities and drive the involvement of all team members in CI activities, waste reduction, productivity, safety, and quality improvement programmes. Perform HR related functions such as holiday approval, recruitment, time and attendance monitoring, disciplinary actions, etc. Holding shift start-up meetings to ensure a smooth shift hand-over, and encouraging communication between the incoming & outgoing shifts is achieved. About you Qualified to 17th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical. Experience in PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics. IT literate and able to navigate systems easily. Organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.
