Job Title: Personal Insurance Customer Service Representative - Temp to Hire!

Location: Fort Worth, TX (76116)

Pay: $20/hr (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting Producers and clients in maintaining insurance coverage for personal lines of insurance to include processing and invoicing policies, endorsements, audits and cancellations.

Essential Tasks:

  • Work with Producers to include the following:

  • Keep Producers informed on the status of pending changes, cancellations and problems

  • Perform other processing duties to include:

  • Preparing proposals on all new and renewal quotes

  • Assemble policies for delivery

  • Invoicing policies, endorsement, audits and cancellations

  • Keep desk in an organized fashion

  • Remain knowledgeable of each of the various insurance carriers and their associated carrier contacts, plan designs and product information needs, and online rating programs

  • Remain updated on continuing education requirements

  • Service each insured s account to include:

  • Analyzing the client s insurance needs and comparing against current coverage

  • Recommending a variety of available coverage

  • Research markets to find the best one to serve the client

  • Answer customer questions regarding coverage changes, problems, certificates, etc.

Documenting and executing customer requests to include:

  • Maintaining complete written record of conversations with insurers in computer and documenting files regarding insurance matters

  • Preparing paperwork and/or making telephone calls to make policy changes

  • Forwarding change request to processor for handling

  • Ensuring that certificates are issued at the customer s request

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Good communication skills

  • Proficiency with personal computers

  • Excellent concentration skills

Experience and Education Required:

  • Property and Casualty Insurance license

  • High school education or equivalent with some college preferred

  • Insurance experience, including some personal lines experience, a plus

Physical Requirements Required:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

  • Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens

  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person

  • Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key

  • Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions
