Physician / New York / Permanent / Gastroenterologist Job

A healthcare system in New York City is looking to add a new, licensedGastroenterologist to one of their facilities.

About the Opportunity:

• Setting:Inpatient (90%) & Outpatient (10%)
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 7 on, 7 off

Responsibilities:

TheGastroenterologist will be responsible for:

• Examining & obtaining medical history and treating acute &chronic illnesses
• Ordering, performing,and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Creatingtreatment plansand involvingpatients &family members in those plans
• Initiatingappropriate specialty referrals
• Collaboratingon the improvement in care delivery and service with management, other Physicians and staff
• Working with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements
• Providingeducation for residents, medical students, nursing and other allied health professions
• Participatingin Committees as requested by the Chief Medical Officer and/or Chairman of Medicine.

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
• Board Eligible / Certified inGastroenterology
