This role focuses on program management and construction administration assignments, compiles field data, performs construction document coordination, completes field observation reports, assists with evaluation of RFIs, submittals and change order requests, and observes ongoing and completed construction projects. Candidate will be asked to provide construction administration duties on projects designed by RS&H as well as provide program management duties or owner's representative services on projects that may involve outside design teams. Position requires an ability to manage multiple projects, as well as collaborate with professional design and construction teams, staff and clients. Candidate must also have the ability to work independently representing the firm using mature judgment in planning, organizing, and executing construction administration/program management duties. Additional essential skill sets and abilities include familiarity with project scheduling, fiscal budgeting and management, real estate acquisition support and due diligence, design oversight including coordination with vendors and value engineering.
- Requires an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline.
- 5-10 years prior work experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power-Point) required for use in completing assignments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of CADD is preferred in order to perform construction document coordination duties.
- PMP certification is desired.
- Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera and Microsoft Project is desired.
- Familiarity with cost estimating references and techniques is preferred.
