Role Introduction

The main purpose of the role is to hold overall responsibility and accountability for our Services People within our Functional Consulting teams. This includes skills and competency standards and development, deployment of people to match the delivery demands of the organisation, and delivering best practice sharing across our functional teams.

This is a home based role

What You Will Do
  • Take overall accountability for all Services personnel within the Functional Consulting discipline
  • Set the standards for competency, behaviour and delivery quality and ensure adherence
  • Build development programmes to enhance core competencies across the organisation, driving up delivery standards and quality
  • Define and agree capacity requirements by Product, Team and Division, with responsibility for organisational design - setting the strategy and direction for resourcing requirements (Internal, Partner, Other), and implementation, in order balance our capacity with demands
  • Take accountability for utilisation across all billable Functional Services teams, driving initiatives to improve efficiency based on demand
  • Build "academy" style upskilling, on-barding, and competency programmes designed to create exceptional Functional Consulting teams
  • Provide clear, accurate picture of team competencies and roles to enable improved flexibility of teams members aligned to demand
  • Develop and execute cross-skilling programme to drive shared resourcing agenda across team
  • Take ownership of resourcing decisions, hiring decisions and principles to foster multi-skilled, market relevant expertise that can be effectively deployed across the organisation
  • Develop programme to fast-track P1 and P2 hires through to "accreditation" to enable accelerated time to proficiency
What You Will Have
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced business with demanding customers, whilst retaining a focus on excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Regularly contributes to improvement initiatives and looks for opportunities to improve Services offering and efficiency of delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and able to communicate at all levels
  • Resilient, and able to execute on a plan even when met with resistance
  • Comfortable with healthy conflict and discussing difficult topics with conflicting opinions
  • A leader and able to motivate teams to deliver key objectives
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of Practice Delivery Model, Matrix structure, and large scale consulting organisations would be advantageous
