Project Coordinator Saffron Walden Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience) Job Overview The role of Project Coordinator is aimed at an enthusiastic individual who will be at the heart of each of our projects, ensuring we deliver homes to our clients that meet their needs, budgets, and timeframes. You will work closely with the Occupational Therapy team, Solicitors, and Case Managers as well as Architects, Surveyors and Builders to drive each project. The role requires tenacious project management skills alongside some building industry knowledge to support our team and the delivery of projects for our clients. About you You will be conscientious and empathetic towards the sensitive nature of our clients. You are motivated by leading successful projects, coordinating large teams of specialists, and keeping the client at the centre of your projects. We are looking for someone who feels strongly about equality and inclusion of people with disabilities and feels comfortable representing and working with vulnerable people. You will be able to balance attention to detail whilst prioritising tasks across simultaneous multiple projects. You are self-motivated, organised, and efficient with your time. You have excellent communication skills, and you know how to connect with, and motivate stakeholders. You will enjoy being a team player and working within a small team to reach mutual goals. Key Responsibilities and Duties The following is a list of some key responsibilities and duties of this job: Understand the client s disability and housing requirements with the support of the Occupational Therapist. Sourcing Architects, Building Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Builders for the projects. Briefing Architects, Building Surveyors, Structural Engineers and Quantity Surveyors of the requirements for each project to enable them to produce accurate estimates. Compare and scrutinise estimates from several building specialists to ensure they are quoting like for like, and their quotes cover all aspects of the project. Providing sufficient, concise, and organised information to all stakeholders, supporting them with decision making at key stages to ensure funding is approved and the project moves smoothly between phases. Develop positive professional relationships with our clients, their families, Solicitors, Case Managers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Builders. Ensuring communication of the project progress between the clients, their families, Case Managers, Solicitors, and other members of the legal team as required. Have a positive, can-do attitude and support the other members of the team. Qualifications and Requirements The following are the qualifications and requirements for an individual to be successful in this role: A minimum of 3 years experience working in a project coordinator or project management role. Good understanding of the building trade and all its professions via previous employment or personal building projects. Strong project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive, can-do attitude and a completer-finisher. Organised with a high attention to detail and able to prioritise large numbers of tasks. Able to multitask and not easily be distracted. Team player and evidence of collaborative working Can demonstrate they work well under pressure where self-motivation is key. Experience of working with people with disabilities would be beneficial but not essential.
