CornerStone Staffing is looking for Title and Real Estate Researcher with a Property Tax Services firm in Plano. This is a permanent position for someone who has a growing knowledge and understanding of title and real estate tax operations and procedures.

Job Title: Title and Real Estate Tax Researcher

Pay: $17.50

Schedule: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday but flexible to work OT and Saturday

Location: Plano

Performs core Title Operation functions and provides support delivering outstanding service to Title & Builder customers. The role conducts online and phone research of real estate information for property tax, bond, and/or HOA issues and obtains public record information to research property taxes in order to report to the customer. The position executes job responsibilities to ensure cost, quality, and productivity goals are being met.

Functional Processing:

Checks appraisal and tax data files as necessary

Downloads data files via appropriate method

Transfers data obtained over phone, fax, e-mail to production and reporting system

Enters data received from the tax collectors onto working order and into the database (NexCheck)

Analyzes legal descriptions to confirm and validate identity of property

Researches and gathers information for tax issues, e.g., delinquent years due, tax suits, and agricultural and timber rollbacks

Investigates and reports property value and/or property exemption discrepancies.

Keeps up to date on property tax law changes


Understands tax delinquencies - difference between rollback taxes, deferral, etc - with general knowledge of how to resolve if no suits are present

Can effectively navigate builder database, copy Z Numbers for order fulfillment.

Ability to learn basic metes and bounds plat research

RealKnowledge of APG s products and services

Ability to express ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner

Ability to use operating systems, browsers, databases and other technologies to troubleshoot client issues

Ability to apply knowledge from one situation to the next to solve problems quickly

Ability to use basic Microsoft Office and Google Docs

Strong computer skills with working knowledge of public record information.

Ability to respond to team and management needs or requests for reports and data

Growing knowledge and understanding of title and real estate tax operations and procedures
